First camping after Rte 66 and my wreck. My first with my "new" Ken-craft; Wildflower and my Tacoma TRDS Sport as a tow. Easy peasy- so much more power. i hardly noticed my little trailer. It's about 1,000 lbs less than trip was.
Poor Lake Cachuma! The drought has been cruel but the campground was still lovely and well done. Stately oaks, views and a nice little camp store. Caravaned with 2 Sisters (SOTF-Sisters on the Fly) for a night before we all went 5 miles down the road to Live Oak Camp.
(State park- rent for weekend etc- otherwise closed) for a SOTF campout. Also the location of Live Oak music Fest which I hope to show at and enjoy next year in June.About 100 Sisters under the oaks. Vans, tents, vintage trailers. Good food, music, shennigans and junkin' in Solvang,CA nearby. Bands, the most complete decor ever and more. Great weekend with funny, intelligent and adventurouss gals. Good rainstorm Saturday night for a beautiful Sunday morning of blue skies and a walk through the oaks.
So glad I went.
